Theater ohne menschliche Sprache; Tanz ohne konventionelle Choreographie; Performance ohne Körperbeherrschung; immersiv und mehr als interaktiv; manchmal beängstigend, doch emotional lohnend. Die Arbeit der Performance-Gruppe Fronte Vacuo, derzeit bis 2024 Artist in Residence am Volkstheater, ist ein radikales Experiment mit neuen Formen der Live-Kunst, die Bewegung, Sound, Technologie, Biologie, Video und Storytelling miteinander verbinden.

Für das neue Projekt \[6XXX6] arbeitet Fronte Vacuo mit der Bühnenbildnerin Anna Cingi zusammen, um sechs neue Science-Fiction-Performances zu entwickeln. Im Abstand von wenigen Monaten wird jeweils eine neue Performance geschaffen und im Volkstheater uraufgeführt. Die Stücke, die speziell für sechs Räume in und um das Volkstheater konzipiert wurden, erzählen die Saga einer kaputten, zukünftigen Gesellschaft, die nach einer respektvollen Koexistenz mit Natur und Technologie sucht. Die Geschichten dieser Gesellschaft werden zu Bühnenproduktionen, Straßenperformances und performativen Installationen, in denen das Publikum in mehr als reale Ereignisse eintaucht.

\[6XXX6] ist Teil der HUMANE METHODS-Saga von Fronte Vacuo. Die Welt von Humane Methods besteht aus einem Kosmos aus Menschen, anderen Lebewesen, Algorithmen der künstlichen Intelligenz und Robotik. In ihr erlebt das Publikum hyperreale Science-Fiction-Szenarien, die neue Fragen über Empathie, Gewalt und Machtstrukturen stellen: Welche kollektive und individuelle Verantwortung tragen wir alle? Wie kann man in Anbetracht dieser Verantwortung handeln?

Fronte Vacuo, das sind Marco Donnarumma, Margherita Pevere und Andrea Familari. Drei Künstler*innen, deren Werke auf der Ars Electronica ausgezeichnet, auf monumentalen LED-Wänden in Taipeh ausgestellt und in Zusammenarbeit mit der Gemeinsamen Forschungsstelle der Europäischen Kommission entwickelt wurden. Fronte Vacuo ist mit seinem Repertoire in institutionalisierten sowie unabhängigen Theatern, Galerien und Festivals zu Gast, wie zum Beispiel Münchner Kammerspiele, Radialsystem, HAU Berlin, Donaufestival, tanzhaus NRW, CTM Festival, Kontejner, PACT Zollverein, Romaeuropa Festival und Centre des Arts Enghien-les-Bains.

Theater without human speech; dance without conventional choreographies; performance without body restraint; immersive and more than interactive; sometimes scary, yet emotionally rewarding. The work of the performance group Fronte Vacuo, currently Artist in Residence at Volkstheater until 2024, is a radical experimentation into a new form of live art that combines movement, sound, technology, biology, video and storytelling.

For the new project \[6XXX6], Fronte Vacuo joins set designer Anna Cingi to create six new performances of live science fiction. Each will premiere every few months at Volkstheater. The pieces, specifically conceived for six spaces in and around Volkstheater, tell the saga of a broken, future society seeking how to respectfully co-exist with nature and technology. The stories of this society become stage productions, street performances and performative installations where audiences are plunged into more-than-real events.

Started in 2019, Humane Methods is a cosmos of humans, living things, artificial intelligence algorithms and robotics where audiences live hyperreal science fiction scenarios. By experiencing this world, one can reflect on empathy, violence and power structures: what are the collective and individual responsibilities we all face? What can one do about it?
